"A totally gorgeous hidden gem. I booked this as a surprise birthday weekend for my husband and our two children and it didn’t disappoint even in wet conditions. Marion and Alan were very welcoming and all the small details made our stay a pleasant one. We went off to explore Battle Abbey, Hastings and nearby beaches. We cooked local fish on the BBQ and tasted a local Thai takeout too. Thank you! We will be back!"

"Many thanks to Marian and Alan for being the perfect hosts at this beautiful, idyllic place and for thinking of every little detail to make it such a happy and wonderful stay. The facilities are outstanding (loved the hot towel rail!), clean and luxurious. Everything has been created to a very high standard. What a treat to have our own decking area with all we need to hand, complete with fairy lights! The tent was beautiful inside with everything you need and little thoughtful touches. The children loved the lights and my youngest son was over the moon with his tractor bedding! Very thoughtful. The beds were luxurious and comfortable, we had a great nights sleep. Plenty of places to visit nearby. We went to Hastings one day which was fun, but what we enjoyed most was chilling out at the site. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and went home refreshed. We can't wait to come back!"

"We had a fantastic time here. The site was very private and having the toilet and bathroom facilities to ourself was a big bonus. Lots of space for our children to play and the tent itself was really cosy, comfortable and totally waterproof! The extra touches like tea, coffee and biscuits were a lovely surprise and much appreciated. We hope to return one day!"

“The perfect hosts with the perfect tent in the most perfect location couldn’t of asked for more so thank you Alan and Marian!!! The home made biscuits were amazing as was the bed and bed linen!!! (Just as good if not better than many 5 star hotels I’ve stayed in around the world) As for the breakfast hamper I would highly recommend as the quality of produce for the price is a steal in my opinion!!! All sourced locally and absolutely lovely!!! Just can’t wait to go back again!!”

“Idyllic setting in beautiful countryside, close to Battle. Alan and Marian and their family have done a wonderful job with this glamping site. All the little touches (perfectly chopped firewood, homemade biscuits, heated towel rail, delicious breakfast hamper) made it very special. The shower was great, the bed very comfortable and the views from the raised deck were lovely. Definitely recommended!!”

“Marian and Alan have a fantastic campsite here, set in beautiful countryside. They were great hosts from the moment we arrived to the moment we left, full of local knowledge which made our stay even better. The campsite has everything you need, the best kitchen area, lovely hot showers, extra blankets for those chilly evenings and even a solar charger to keep you connected to the outside world (not that you want to be with all the beautiful views and woodland walks!) A very memorable first camping experience for our 4 & 7 year old. The local area is fantastic too, be sure to check our Bodiam Castle and Battle Recreation playground if you have kids ! We ate some fantastic meals too, Kings Head in Battle (the oldest pub), The Castle Inn at Bodiam Castle and The Royal Oak at Whatlington (Greek food). All in all an excellent stay and I can’t praise it highly enough - thank you !”

“My family and i had a fantastic time at the Bell Tent. Marian and Alan were perfect hosts and we found the Breakfast Hampers were both delicious and great vaule for money. We took a lot of pictures while we were there and were inundated with friends wishing to know where we were. With this place on the whole being great vaule for money, plus up the road, Battle resides, with all it's beautiful pubs, shops and restaurants. I can see this place booking up fast. Loved it! You can expect fantastic views in peaceful surroundings. Wonderful We had a lovely, relaxing stay. The facilities were clean and there was everything we needed. Highly recommend and will definitely visit again.”

“A really fantastic place in a stunning location (beautiful views and peaceful but a short distance to Battle - great food shops and so much else close by). So many thoughtful touches and really comfortable tent and surrounding facilties. We had a magical stay there and our children loved it, but equally barbeques on the decked area with the fairy lights at night after beautiful sunsets makes it very special for everyone. One of the best breaks away we've had.”
